Christine Parkinson, Head Wine Buyer for the Hakkasan Group, and Anthony Rose of The Independent host guests in Sake no Hana’s ground floor bar, giving guests a thorough understanding of one of Japan’s most famous exports.
Running from 10.15am, each half-day masterclass offers an introduction to the history of Japan’s national drink, with a particular focus on how and when to drink it. Guests will try seven types of sake and one umeshu – a traditional Japanese plum wine – followed by lunch in Sake no Hana’s main restaurant. Guests will also receive a gift bag on departure, to include a bottle of sake and a kikichoko ‘snake eye’ sake cup.
